Beets!

Beth Workmaster of the UW Horticulture Department will host us in a beet tasting and discussion.

* Learn about all the different varieties and colors of beets!

* Distinguish between a Red Ace, a Detroit Dark Red, and a Bull’s Blood beet!

* Taste, critique, and admire these varieties and more!

* Stain your fingertips a beautiful crimson!

The delicious colorful root not only can help prevent artheroschlerosis but also has more sugar than any other root vegetable.

An optional potluck will follow, so bring a little something edible or potable to share.  Bonus points for dishes that involves beets!
