The Hunger Season

5:00 – 7:30 p.m.


The free event will include:

A special screening of The Hunger Season, A new film by award winning filmmaker Beadie Finzi
Filmed on location in the US, Europe and Southern Africa, the narrative
tells the story of a young teacher called Justice and the children in his
care living in the heart of rural Swaziland as they struggle to survive a
year of drought and diminishing food aid.

Directly following the film will be dinner featuring a one-dish
Swazi meal, made with 100% Wisconsin ingredients, and an
evening of discussion dedicated to addressing both the
global food crisis and hunger in Wisconsin. Donations for
local and international hunger relief will be accepted.

Parking is available in the lot accessed on North Pinckney
Street, just off Dayton.
